As I explained in the run-up to the 2016 election here and here, I've always believed that Donald Trump is the Real Deal. That doesn't mean I agree with everything he does or says. But there's little question that the president is his own man. And that drives the Establishment crazy. The oligarchs want someone they can control. They rely on leveraged politicos to do their evil bidding, but Trump has given them no such foothold. So they use their Establishment-controlled media to foment hate against him. This fake news jihad is effective but will not stop Trump.

I am stunned by the vitriolic and misplaced hatred the left has for Donald Trump. It is something I have not witnessed in my adult life. The following are some possible explanations for the lunacy that seems to have gripped the mainstream media, the Democratic Party of the Jackass and the Fascistic liberal left in this country.

I will start by saying that I believe some of the disconnect with reality stems from the misguided belief coming from the left that everyone feels like they do. The other is this extreme denial that causes them to believe they are winning politically.

There was some with Reagan, but nothing like you see today with Trump.

I recall driving down the highway (Hwy. 70 in St. Louis) and seeing Reichwing derps standing on overpasses, hanging banners saying "Impeach Obama," "Make our White House White Again," "We Are Unarmed -- for NOW," and so on. And that was less than a year into his presidency. Oh, and then there was the Tea Party. And (R) leaders saying they were going to obstruct everything the President tried to pass -- whether it was good for the American people, or not.
