I like the Wild Kratts. They usually have great lessons in there about animals. Another one that I like that my son watches is called The Octonauts. They teach you all about sea creatures.

I had a course last fall called "Wild Animal Relations" and the prof actually showed an episode of Wild Kratts! It was cute. The point wasn't so much about whatever animals they were featuring, but rather how to instruct children (and adults) to see other beings as "relations" rather than remote beings sharing the same space.

Books that change your thinking or POV.
For me two books,at 21 ,I read Catch 22,it taught me to assume nothing,question everything!
The other was The Grapes of Wrath,taught me to look at things from the POV of "we",not "I".

I been thinking of giving Yurt a second chance.

I would recommend it. Yes, he can be odd, whiny & grumpy (lol) (as can we all @ times) @ times but IMHO overall he isn't bad & can be easily ignored if need be..

He can also be cool, insightful & informative @ times but I think overall he just wants to play, not all to serious most of the time.

I don't think it's wise. He will go after Jade right out of the gate, and you'll end up annoying the mods to have him escorted out the door. But it's your house so you call the rules!
