yes tapatalk (not the site) does not handle threadbans. that's why we aren't super strict on them, but when you are told 3 times to kncok it off and you continue on like a brainless automaton, it's on you. otherwise anyone could just ignore anytime someone points this out to them and say they never saw the post. Again, you get direct notifications when you are quoted. You were actively participating in the thread. Maybe try and be a bit more perceptually aware.

That is a fair point. I was just pointing out when using Tapatalk you don't get notifications. That has its pluses and minuses and like everything is a tradeoff of using the application. It is not an excuse for not paying attention. I agree

There was code that was written for Tapatalk, but it apparently doesn't work anymore. Maybe Tapatalk upgraded its software making the code irrelevant? Don't know

It appears that you only get notifications if you're accessing the site with a browser. And threadbans only work if you're using a browser. Since I've been limited lately to accessing the site with my phone, I've been using Tapatalk to make the site more usable. The site doesn't seem to handle that well. And Tapatalk doesn't handle things like quote notifications at all, though it has its own version, completely separate from the site's notifications.

No one pointed anything out. The system generates little notifications that you only see if you're using a browser.
