Pay gap between college grads and everyone else at a record Pay gap between college grads and everyone else at a record
WASHINGTON — Americans with no more than a high school diploma have fallen so far behind college graduates in their economic lives that the earnings gap between college grads and everyone else has reached its widest point on record.
The growing disparity has become a source of frustration for millions of Americans worried that they — and their children — are losing economic ground. https://www.usatoday.com/story/money...cord/96493348/

Never saw any letter on the subject posted, I don't follow you around and read every post you make so you can't blame me for being uninformed of your situation. Also I was unaware that some schools offer scholarships for merit. So I concede you were correct in this instance.
I can't understand why you would wonder why a 70 yr old would want to further their education when you are doing basically the same thing.
A recent report issued by Burning Glass and the Strada Institute finds that 43% of recent college graduates are underemployed in their first job out of college.
If the skills a student acquired in college are not then utilized in the workforce, what was the point of college?

Why You Should Consider Trade School Instead of College

Properly speaking, the 'left' were those generally considered more progressive in the Revolutionary French Assembly, mainly the Jacobins. The term has been wandering about loose ever since, as has 'right' (then presumably the royalists). I prefer to call a spade a spade, or, if we are talking about American Republicans, an extremely bloody shovel!

The beginnings of wisdom, Grasshopper. lol
My "wondering" was merely a reflection of your own. You stated that you are taking on line coursework towards a degree; I wondered why you were mocking me back when for being "old" as well and seeking a degree. It seemed a bit hypocritical, eh? Hope neither of us ever stop learning new stuff.

In my opinion, exercising the mind is every bit as important as exercising the body. It boggles that anyone would wonder why an older person would want to take college classes, indulge in scholarly education, and pursue the goal of life long learning. Keep up the good work!
