of course I did.what is CCD ? I remember we had a Catholic catechism as well as the bible.

I remember the Kennedy assassination. I was in 4th grade parish school.
"why did God let this happen?" came from a few of the faithful (Kennedy was a Catholic as well)
It was explained that God did not intervene to stop or aid Oswald. The evil unleashed came from the hand of man.

i fail to see any difference. Allowance is still having a say in the matter.
Look I'm not trying to cause any pain here, but I think de-mystifying religion is a worthwhile discussion

I'm thinking of going back to Christianity -so far I have been able to juggle Buddhism and Christianity-
but at the end of the line there is a real difference , and getting old means I want the comfort of eternal salvation as my goal.
But Buddhism orders my thinking -

If there's a God, I assume he's got more sense than to burn His (or his Mother's) own house down. From Macron's point of view it will come a lot cheaper because everyone who - like me, several times - has walked around it will cough up a few bob

It's like the Titanic or other great tragedies - mankind isn't omnipotent and sometimes our designs fail
But you’re advocating a kind of deism lol.

Do you think God had a hand in Christ’s sacrifice on the cross [such a fitting question for Easter week lol]? Not whether you believe it—but rather, how do you square that with your conception of the Judeo-Christian God who will not meddle in the affairs of men?

How can you be a God, if you can't build a perfect human being?

I'm certainly not impressed by God's work so far!

You are one of God’s imperfections, placed on earth to show the contrast between a virtuous person and a human slug.

Don't flatter yourself- I was just making a comment in reference to a God in general!

    But, I'll reiterate!

If a God cannot make a perfect human being- he is no God!

A real God would make humans to shit glitter and fart rainbows! Don't you think? LOL!

Even when I was very young I found the God concept pretty baffling, so I find questions on it more so!

No the point is the destruction of a world historical site of such importance was the opportunity for a scumbag to attack a religion..... If it was the mosque on the temple mount, I doub't he or others would be so glib.

    Type with a lisp?

Just thinking of that, as even a possibility, is such a stretch for reality, I'm having to slot you among the category of idiots!

First of all, a lisp is a speech impediment- not a flaw in writing skills!
