something educated people know is that Notre Dame cathedral was one of the very first to use flying buttresses.

Chartes, Reims, and Amien are also both examples of the early use of flying buttresses on Gothic cathedrals. So I don't think Nortre Dame of Paris is particularly unique in that respect. Though maybe the argument can be advanced over the superiority of aesthetics and design.

Chartes is known for its stained glass. And I believe it is one of the only cathedrals - if not the only - with the original stained glass surviving from the late Medieval period.

I like flying buttresses and stained glass. But given a choice, I am going with the stained glass, man!
