All they could do was leave behind a proof, built over generations of the beauty and grandness of worship and belief

we must be reminded that all sin can be traced to pride and a lack of humility.
All sin is rooted in arrogance, a self-exaltation where we think of ourselves and our abilities more highly than we should, and, in the end, we attempt to elevate ourselves above God.

But God used that political milieu to provide salvation to ‘whosoever will’. I don’t pretend to understand how it works or how God works through man’ actions [I don’t understand the Heisenberg Principle either lol] but I believe that he does.
I'm no theologan either, but I confess to being interested in the nature of what is and what is the fate of men

There is no god, but the church was a beautiful building and a major tourism site. Why would churches burn if god is protecting them?

I suspect the "reporting" may be based on speculation grounded in political correctness.

Unless they can pin it on "Trump supporters" or the "alt-right," I doubt many JPP libs will bother to take that into account, Tom.

A mosque did burn yesterday, as it happens.

Fire broke out at the revered Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Jerusalem just as flames ravaged the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

Footage showing smoke and fire emerging from the roof of a structure known as the Marwani Prayer Room, or Solomon's Stables, could be seen on social media. The Palestine News Agency, the official outlet of the Palestinian National Authority, cited a guard as saying Monday that "the fire broke out in the guard's room outside the roof of the Marwani Prayer Room, and the fire brigade of the Islamic Waqf handled the matter successfully."

No injuries or damage was reported during the short blaze.

News of the incident at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam and central to the ongoing Arab-Israeli conflict, was largely overshadowed.

Go tell a Muslim that in person, will you?

Looks like the Faithful were playing with matches or something.

Perhaps, perhaps not. Could have been a radical secular humanist, too.

BTW, did you know that last Friday a French court found three jihadists guilty of a plot to set off a bomb outside Notre Dame?

    Just a coincidence?

If only God could have had his prophets, followers, and disciples write about physics.
