Should the next Democratic President determine if a state like Mississippi or Alabama gets FEMA assistance after a hurricane based on the politics of the governor? After all, if the argument is that sanctuary cities “want illegal immigrants”, the Republicans who will be governing those states “want less government” or a “strict reading of the Constitution” which of course doesn’t mention FEMA.
