The U.S. is right up there with repressive regimes when it comes to capital punishment. I guess you're proud of being in company with China, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia et al., but many of us more civilized types think the death penalty's abhorrent.

The death penalty exists to save lives by removing those who are a threat to others.
