Yes members of Congress may obtain President Trump's tax returns. But that does not mean that they will automatically, or ever, become public. Under the tax code, the congressional committee which requests the tax returns can only review them in a “closed executive session.”

Another one that cracks anyone up, a Trumpkin complaining about investigations. We just lived thru a full decade of often redundant GOP investigations into anything and everything Obama/Clinton and now that the Democrats have been at it three months they are bitching about investigations?
Fortunately, the speech and debate clause allows members of Congress to read whatever they like into the Congressional record without legal repercussions. It's unconstitutional for members of Congress to be questioned in any other forum for any speech or debate in the House. They have total immunity from prosecution for whatever they say from the floor of the House. Even Top Secret material can be made public that way. So, regardless of whether mere statutes try to limit review only to "closed executive session," there's nothing that can legally prevent a member of Congress from spilling the president's dirty secrets as part of speech and debate.

Obama broke a promise to televise meetings about health care on C-SPAN, he failed to keep his "sunlight before signing" pledge to wait five days before signing legislation and he did not create a "contracts and influence" database to disclose how much federal contractors spend on lobbying.

Abundant evidence exists that Trump has engaged in serious criminal activity--campaign finance violations, money laundering, fraud..the list goes on.
Trump is even dirtier than most of the 63,000,000 turds who voted for him.
There is plenty of probable cause to demand all of his financial records, tax returns included.
The white trash that supports Trump will happily start stupid threads like this one, but anybody with any intelligence at all knows that they're just stupid crackers whose opinions are of no value whatsoever.
Paying serious attention to you Trumpanzee clowns is as futile as paying serious attention to the orangutan himself.
He's going down, and then you sycophants can all crawl back under your rocks.
Did not read a single word.
Let me make this crystalline clear to you:
You are too uneducated, immature, mentally unstable, and just way too boring for me to waste valuable time reading and responding.
The bottom line is this:
Presidential contenders have been expected for decades to release their tax returns, as a show of transparency and good faith. The office of the presidency wields enormous and unprecedented power and influence, and the opportunities for potential abuse are vast, in a way that the office of a congressional representative is not.
Democratic presidential hopefuls have released, or pledged to release their taxes for public scrutiny.
The question now is why Trump - alone among presidential contenders - will not take this simple step of transparency and good faith. What is he trying to hide??
This is how this unethical piece of shit is. Pretending he doesn't read anything of yours (or mine), but still feels the need to respond?
He knows he was exposed for being a stalker. He knows his meltdown was epic. He knows that he is a piece of shit, which is why he puts forth the holier than thou bullshit non stop.
