I will repeat this again! I went ballistic when all the TRUMP SANCTIONED KIDNAPPING started. I made 2, it turns out, very prescient suggestions as soon as I heard about the family separation mandate. (On this board, I don't remember?)
- As soon as lawyers or anyone with any intelligence or knowledge heard about this tell lawyers, inspectors, press--face to face or 'word of mouth "pass it around". Tell parents pull several kids hairs out, if they have no access to scissors, hand out baggies or envelopes or whatever they could hand or sneak in and tell them don't let go of the hairs.
- DETENTION CENTER personnel (with or without permission, take up a COLLECTION if necessary) go to a local HOSPITAL SUPPLY company or order them over the internet. Get BOXES of HOSPITAL WRISTBANDS (clamp closure--the kind you have to CUT OFF). Write or type #'s on them. Whatever is available, in permanent magic marker. MOM'S # first, then each child, their names and country of origin. Enter it in a database, even if it is ONLY A YELLOW LEGAL PAD, put a bracelet on the parent and one on each child. Tell them DO NOT TAKE THEM OFF until they are with their CHILD. Same instruction to the kids.
Would it have fixed this COLOSSAL FUCK UP? Of course not, but it would have been a damn good start. A box of 1000 runs about $75 on Amazon. ONE DNA TEST cost about $99 that is court accepted. You do the math. Oh well, at least the government will get a 'group discount' for DNA tests.
YOU ARE NOW PAYING FOR EVERY ONE OF THESE KIDS IN 'CUSTODY'. You will pay for investigators, DNA test, and should they be identified, their AIRFARE home. YOU WILL PAY to clothe, feed and house them until they are reunited. If they aren't, they will go into foster care. You will pay foster parents. And then likely pay for INCARCERATION (especially of the boys) in abou 10, 15, 20 years from now.
U.S. Says It Could Take 2 Years to Identify Up to Thousands of Separated Immigrant Families

It may take federal officials two years to identify what could be thousands of immigrant children who were separated from their families at the southern United States border, the government said in court documents filed on Friday.
A federal judge had asked for a plan to identify these children and their families after a report from government inspectors in January revealed that the Trump administration most likely separated thousands more children from their parents than was previously believed.
These families were separated before the administration unveiled its “zero-tolerance” immigration policy in the spring of 2018, when nearly all adults entering the country illegally were prosecuted and any children accompanying them were put into shelters or foster care.
To identify these families, the government said it would apply a statistical analysis to about 47,000 children who were referred to the Office of Refugee Resettlement and subsequently discharged, according to the court filing. From there, the government said it would manually review the case records of the children who appeared to have the highest probability of being part of the separated families.
Officials estimated that the process would take at least one year and potentially two. In explaining the reason for such an arduous process, the government said United States Customs and Border Protection did not collect specific data on migrant family separations before April 2018.
Lawyers representing the Office of Refugee Resettlement did not immediately respond to requests for comment on Saturday.
In a court filing for the government, Jonathan White, a commander with the United States Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, wrote that identifying this group of children presented new challenges because they were already discharged from the Office of Refugee Resettlement, meaning the government “lacks access” to them.
The statistical analysis was required because manually reviewing the cases of nearly 50,000 children would “overwhelm” the office’s resources, he wrote....

It's pretty sad that in this great nation we have a Democrat party fighting so hard against a more responsible and well enforced immigration system. It's let'm in and let'm scatter. Wherever they end up, we'll just pay for their entire lives, wants and needs.
I was reading this morning about areas in countries that are fairly inexpensive to live in and their entry/resident requirements. Ones mostly in beautiful areas by the water, speak English, available health care, stores, schools, etc.
Panama, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Peru, Chile, Portugal, Spain, Malta, Viet Nam, Indonesia, Slovenia, etc. were among them.
Summing up most all requirements for visas, temp and perm residency .........
PROOF of at least $xxxx amount of dollars in the bank (most want a figure ranging anywhere from $15k to $28k)
PROOF you've secured a place to live
PROOF of your monthly mortgage or rent cost
PROOF of health insurance or that you can afford their health insurance plans (varies from $89/mo to $150/mo in each country)
PROOF of employment/monthly income while you live there
PROOF of up to date immunizations and vaccinations
PROOF of filing tax return
ABLE to pass criminal background check
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
pain in abortion.
Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.
