Merle Oberon was a fine actress who sadly had to disguise her Eurasian background to get work in Hollywood.

Never heard of it, and it's probably shit anyway. Can't say I am a great fan of wheat beer in general. Gueuze, pronounced Gooze, is about the only wheat beer I like and that's made from wheat and barley.

What have you got against Merle Oberon? She was a great actress and beauty but her personal life was tragic to say the least.

It's one, if not the best, wheat ale on the market. Since it's made up North in Michigan I have tried it and it blows the hell out of Belgian Wheat Ales like Blue Moon. I find it very light and refreshing with a super smooth mouth feel that makes you want to kill a pint in one or two pulls with light spicy notes. Certainly one of the best micro brews to come out of that State up North.

Nothing Tom...it's a beer thread. Not a dead actress thread.

You wouldn't say that if you ever tried a proper Gueuze in a bar in Antwerp.

That depends. If it taste more like Blue Moon and less like a Hefeweizen probably not.

It is not called the champagne of beers for nothing. In Belgium it's usually served in a bowl like glass.
