In case you didn't know it, the TPP would have raised corporations to a power level above nations. It allowed the unelected corporate oligarchs to tell nations what to do. If a nation wanted to enact a law to protect the environment, workers, or customers from dangerous products, corporations could then sue that nation for loss of 'expected profits' from the future.

The TPP stood in direct opposition to effective climate change policy and worker rights.

That is why it was so objectionable.
