ISIS defeated say U.S.-backed forces, declaring total victory in Syria President Donald Trump has said he will pull U.S. forces from Syria after the group's territorial defeat"

Two things trump is famous for. Taking credit for that which he had no part in, and blaming others for his failures.

In this instance, trump's allowing the military to craft a plan to finish off ISIS after Obama starved them for cash, was a deciding factor in completing the removal of ISIS from Syria. Surrounding strongholds in order to refuse them that ability to retreat, worked very well. Of course, their ability was reduced due to the inability to purchase/steal weaponry.

Mosul was the center of their weapons manufacturing. The 'all in' campaign to take Mosul began in Oct. '16

Let's face it, the Kurds beat Isis, with a minimum of American backing to save them from the Turks, while President Assad won the War, with strong Russian backing. Bit like Trumpf, I suppose, come to think of it.

Yes, Obama's "JV team" that he said he was going to "contain" has been defeated by the Kurds and the Free Syrian Forces with the leadership of US forces who were given the ability to defeat ISIS by President Trump Yes indeed.

Trump has NO shame... That's how he always takes credit for the work of others.. even our military.

"Adding the roughly 10 percent of Syrian territory under Turkey’s protection to the 30 percent already under the control of U.S. and allied forces, close to half of Syria’s landmass remains outside of the Assad regime’s fold. As Ambassador Jeffrey put it, “Assad is sitting on a cadaver state with almost no economy, no access to his fuel and gas resources . . . and no promise or hope of reconstruction because the United States, as part of its policies,” is working with the European Union and Middle East allies to keep him isolated."

Yes, "containing" the "JV TEAM' did not succeed.
