His position is that since the most severe of the impacts won't be felt for decades, it should not be our number one environmental priority in the year 2019.

I don't agree with all that, but this is at least showing me that Climate Denial is untenable at this point. Climate Denial is laughable, unsupportable, and fringe. And anyone promoting climate denial is a laughing stock.

Climate Deniers spent the last three decades denying global warming was happening, guessing that is was all due to natural causes, and/or claiming that a global conspiracy of scientists were faking the data.

Climate deniers, over and over again, have been wrong on every single count. Every single one. Even the EPA administrator appointed by your orange tinted hero fully admits that humans are contributing to climate change and we need to be working now to reduce human emissions of heat-trapping GHGs.
How far will you go, personally, to avert the climate catastrophe?

All he is really saying, which many scientists are saying as well, is that the IPCC scenario termed RCP 8.5 is impossible and RCP 6.0 is exceedingly unlikely. With the advent of fourth generation nuclear power, neither scenario is worth serious consideration. However the Climate Industrial Complex needs to scare the great unwashed regularly to sustain their power and influence.

i'm a lot more worried about the plastics in the oceans instead of the carbon in the atmosphere.

America has been bombarded for a decade with terrifying articles, many using projections based on RCP8.5
(others misrepresent different aspects of climate science). Few of those mention RCP8.5’s implausible assumptions.
    That would ruin the narrative.

So, what that means is Trump's appointee is afraid to take action on what he acknowledges as a real threat because of repercussion from the White House, he remembers Sessions, or, he just don't give a damn given he and Trump will most likely have passed in that time and it doesn't effect the world they live in now.

Yet, probably the real truth, he just ain't all that bright, typical Trump appointee.

What do you think, scared, self centered, or just plain dumb?

Is this the guy who was head of or lobbyist for a big COAL company?

    I agree totally.

And the problem isn’t theoretical. But we’re just ignorant Trump supporters, so yeah.
