Default Illegal immigration in the news

Authorities arrested a Mexican national illegally in the country who was spotted having sex with a cow in rural Starr County, Texas.

U.S. Border Patrol agents observed a man having sex with a cow near the Hidalgo County line, the Starr County Sheriff’s Office revealed.

The story was first reported by the local newspaper El Tejano, noting that when deputies arrived at the scene, Border Patrol agents provided additional information and the location where the suspect was seen with the cow.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested 28-year-old Jose Nino, a Mexican national who was in the country illegally, and took him to the Starr County jail.

Nino went before Starr County Justice of the Peace Ramiro Guillen, who formally charged him with one count of bestiality, a state jail felony, and set his bond at $1,500.

Deputies then turned Nino over to the U.S. Border Patrol.

Default Congressional DEMOCRATS force return to Obama-era 'catch & release'

    GRACIAS, DEMÓCRATAS!

Border patrol officers will start releasing many of the myriad migrants crossing the Rio Grande without even going through the formalities of temporary detention or strapping removable tracking-devices to the migrants’ ankles, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

The policy comes as the migrant wave is expected to reach 100,000 this month, and shortly after Congress again refused to seriously fund a border wall or to fund additional detention beds for migrants, to penalize companies which hire illegals, or to reform border laws or even to bar the courts from cutting loopholes in the border laws.

The Wall Street Journal reported: Starting this week, hundreds of families caught each day in that area are being released by Border Patrol agents, instead of being handed over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement for potentially longer detention, government officials said. The exact number will depend on how many there is room for in ICE detention facilities, which have filled up as a record volume of families are crossing the border.

Officials said they are making the change because of crowding and safety concerns. Under the new policy, illegal immigrants will be processed by the Border Patrol and then released and told to show up later to start their deportation or asylum cases.

Yesterday the Supreme Court ruled the Department of Homeland Security has the federal authority to detain illegal immigrants indefinitely after they've served a court sentence. The decision helps to close a number of loopholes than encourage illegal immigration.

Many on the left who ignore the fact that illegal immigration is a crime aren't happy about the ruling.

Oof. This is terrible news. SCOTUS rules 5–4 that ICE may arrest and detain an unauthorized immigrant *indefinitely* once he has been taken into criminal custody. Doesn't matter if he was released from custody months or even years ago. https://t.co/Ldw7cr9phY

BREAKING: Today the Supreme Court failed to uphold one of our founding principles — no indefinite detention. #SCOTUS held that immigrants can be detained indefinitely for a crime they might have been released from years ago, w/o an opportunity for bail. 1/ https://t.co/nTavU5T5hz

Yesterday’s ruling is very troubling. @ICEgov should absolutely not have the power or be directed to indefinitely detain migrants. https://t.co/ZuMDyyS4uj

The Supreme Court says the government can detain -- without a bond hearing -- immigrants with past criminal records, even if years have passed since they were released from criminal custody. https://t.co/OIJAyjezng pic.twitter.com/qzpingaFz7

Entering the country illegally at any point in time is, in fact, illegal.
