Well, you're always going to get those who latch on to one party or the other for different reasons, convenience and/or acceptance by others in the circle one moves in being a couple.

But for those who are truly committed to the platform and ideas/ideals of whichever party they choose to dedicate themselves to, they see nothing wrong with it.

I can see the Republicans' point of view on a certain, limited number of issues, but I'm still a Democrat because overall, I think their policies are better for working and middle class people, while the Republicans' policies really only help the wealthy and that they get working and middle class conservatives on their side by exploiting prejudice against non-whites and non-Christians.

You might be over thinking this one. I'm simply saying you have a couple that are known Democrats until Trump came into office (we don't know if they are actually Republicans now or just Donald supporters) and you have Democrats going after them because they are tied to the Trump administration and Republicans defending them because they are tied to the Trump administration.

Maybe it's just funny to me because I'm not a Trump supporter nor a Democrat and thus don't feel personal attachment to Jared and Ivanka.
