An Ambassador does not get involved in politics and especially controversial ones. He reports to the State Department as an observer. If he sees something wrong he relays it to State. He does not start controversies. He does not get in arguments or disputes.

German industry bosses are shitting themselves and with very good reason.

GERMAN industry bosses have complained a hard Brexit would hammer the country’s economy by nearly £15billion - and demanded Britain call off the divorce from Brussels if MPs are unable to agree a deal. the

Firms in Germany are at risk and Parliament must quickly make a decision on whether to accept Theresa May’s deal, the Federation of German Industry (BDI) said. The group, which represents more than 100,000 firms, warned a no-deal Brexit could hit the German economy by £14.5billion (€17billion), German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) reports. And BDI chief executive Joachim Lang urged Downing Street scrap the divorce from Europe if MPs fail to rally behind Mrs May’s deal next month.

OMG... that is almost 0.4% of the German economy.
That is almost half as bad as the 1% that the US economy missed compared to Trump's prediction of growth from his tax cut. The US must be in terrible shape right now.

I think that is a conservative estimate, but even that is enough to cause over 100,000 layoffs, many of which will be in industrial centres like Wolfsburg, Stuttgart and the Ruhrgebeit. You might also want to consider the effect on the French/Italian wine and food sectors as well. For instance, London alone imports more Champagne that the whole of North America.

It's Sailor. Gleefully, willfully stupid, a long criminal record and, sadly, a lifelong substance abuser.

There's simply no reaching him w/reality.

Trump doesn't understand what a diplomat is. He thinks they're imperial viceroys there to give commands to the subjects of the world nobility, American citizens.

Yeah it's not gonna be pretty but there wasn't a pretty way out of this.

Funny from a guy who taps around the edges of knowledge like you do. Oceans of knowledge on inch deep.
It's like you are afraid to get wet.
