Pure capitalism creates wealth for owners of capital. It offers sustenance or less to those without capital, but only if they are physically able to work and produce, AND capitalism can exploit their labor and time.

Socialism ensures that nobody need suffer. Capitalism didn't build that.

Define "middle class"... What do you mean by that?

Unconstitutional. The Constitution does not allow the federal government to create a "social safety net". See Article 1 Section 8 of the US Constitution.

I am in support of individual State programs for such assistance, IF required... although, I recommend that people invest their own money into a retirement fund of some sort to take care of themselves instead of mooching off of everybody else (and instead of the federal government stealing a lot of it away from people).

Actually, it did... Capitalism is what made the USA the wealthiest nation on Earth...

This is what we have become now, and why we are over 20 trillion dollars in debt... That is because socialism STEALS wealth away from people, while capitalism creates it. When we were more of a capitalist nation, we had abundant wealth. The more socialist policies we have enacted, the more in debt we have become and the more wealth that has gotten stolen away from us.

Yes, it does create wealth. And everyone has some form of capital, except for a bum out on the street. Not everybody is the same, or has the same talents or intelligence. Not everyone has the capability of becoming a CEO or some other great high salary position. Some people can only be janitors and etc... Not everyone takes the right steps or makes the right decisions with their wealth... That's just the way it is, since we are all different people with different talents and intelligence levels. Capitalism allows everyone to create/gain wealth. It promotes self-governance. It promotes freedom.

No, it doesn't. The people who are getting their wealth stolen away from them are suffering, whether you think they can "get by with what they are left with" or not... Stealing is immoral no matter who is getting stolen from. Socialism is nothing more than a system of theft... It doesn't create anything; it only steals. It eventually bleeds itself dry...

Yes, it quite literally did. The industrial revolution of the USA was driven by Capitalism. The USA became the wealthiest nation on Earth due to Capitalism.

You have iphones and androids today due to capitalism... You have the clothes and food that you wear and eat/drink due to capitalism... Most people have a job due to capitalism. Most people have most of their possessions and wealth due to capitalism.

The more you take away capitalism, the less and less wealth people have.

Oh, I agree with you about Mr. Gore... I mainly couldn't stand how he would preach to everyone else, telling them how they ought to live due to global warming, yet he wasn't even living like that himself.

If coal/oil/natural gas are SOOOOO bad and are dangerously warming up our planet, then those people who believe that nonsense should stop making use of those fuels... BUT they don't, since they are the most cost-effective and readily available fuels...

Even the electric car drivers who think they are "environmentally friendly" and "getting away from fossil fuels" are still making use of (primarily) coal every single time they plug that sucker into an electrical outlet...

    Pretty laughable stuff...

For the most part, those that preach global warming, or climate change as they call it now, don't practice it.

To them, it's for the other guy to do.

    Precisely!

They also need to define what they are squawking on about... What IS "global warming"? What IS "climate change"? Those terms are circularly-defined, which renders them to be meaningless buzzwords, and any argument based on them is void.

Global Warming is a fundamentalist religion. Those zealots are full of hate towards anyone who doesn't abide by their religious beliefs...

If they were truly down for the cause, all those squawking about climate change would simultaneously, voluntarily stop breathing and emitting CO2 every time they exhale.
