Why doesn't anyone mention this? JOHN MC CAIN WAS HANDED OFF INFORMATION IN THE STEELE DOSSIER by a decorated British INTEL guy. Not Steele. McCain went to Nova Scotia for some international economics 'gathering'. He knew this British guy. The British guy pulled McCain away from the crowd into a private room and told him about the Steele dossier. McCain went back to the US, checked the guy out, checked Steele out, then called the INTEL guy back and said he wanted the document. Whether it was sent FEDEX or through a pouch at the British Embassy or delivered by the BRITS directly to McCains office, I don't know. He got it and immediately locked it up in a Senate safe. He then delivered it to the FBI.Maybe COMEY PICKED UP FROM HIS OFFICE. I don't know the logistics. That is immaterial.

THAT IS WHEN THE FBI OPENED THE CASE ON THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN! The exact proximity to the date McCain gave it to them, I don't know. The level of scrutiny right out the door by the FBI, I don't know! Whether this piggybacked onto an investigation that might have been in the works by the FBI before this was handed off--I don't think so. I thought this was what got the ball rolling.

WTF was McCain supposed to do with it? Throw it in the TRASH CAN? Burn it in a 'burn bag'? Give me a fucking break! Any US SENATOR would have done the same and REQUIRED TO DO THE SAME!

Trump quoted Ken Starr as saying that McCain turning over the Steele Dossier to FBI Director James Comey, “is unfortunately a very dark stain against John McCain.”


Trump claimed the Dossier is “fake and totally discredited” — even though much of it has been proven accurate while none of it has been discredited.

Trump then lashed out at McCain for not voting to repeal the Affordable Care Act.

“He had far worse ‘stains’ than this, including thumbs down on repeal and replace after years of campaigning to repeal and replace,” Trump charged.

McCain also gives his most complete version of his role in intrigue surrounding a dossier of salacious research and raw intelligence on Trump and his connections with the Russians.

McCain previously acknowledged getting a copy of the dossier, which was authored by Christopher Steele, a former British MI6 officer, and giving it to the FBI, which already was aware of the material.

"I had an obligation to bring to the attention of appropriate officials unproven accusations I could not assess myself, and which, were any of them true, would create a vulnerability to the designs of a hostile foreign power," McCain writes in the book. "I discharged that obligation, and I would do it again. Anyone who doesn't like it can go to hell."
