For sentient beings and higher life forms, it is a very simple matter to be both sympathetic to the victims, and to want to understand the root causes of this kind of rightwing terrorism.

One of the reasons contributing to virulent Islamophobia is Fox News, rightwing message board posters, the President of the United States, and the worldwide nationalist rightwing media consistently and constantly demonizing and de-humanizing Muslims.
