Then why does it seem that you're so obsessed with it, seeing as how you continue to comment??

exactly... I won't watch any of them any more. Too many insufferable douchebags pretending to be journalists. They want to make themselves the news, rather than any semblance of honest reporting.

I use realclearpolitics.com and try to read from different perspectives on topics to try and discern the truth. unfortunately that is becoming harder as so many 'journalists' are nothing more than tabloid morons these days.

    I hope so as well.

As for Smollett, his career is in ruins -- good. Hopefully he will also serve some time. That kind of bullshit is no different than a female falsely claiming rape.... it delegitimizes real victims.

Back in the day CNN may have been liberal leaning but for the most part was pretty straightforward, "the most trusted name in news". And then they started getting beat in the ratings and whoever the head was said "being in the middle doesn't win ratings" so now they've changed to what they are today. These channels are so partisan it's mind numbing. Yet you'll get people who will defend one station for being truthful while trashing the other. They can't see the forest for the trees.

    "it delegitimizes real victims."

    Amen!
Abortion rights dogma can obscure human reason & harden the human heart so much that the same person who feels
empathy for animal suffering can lack compassion for unborn children who experience lethal violence and excruciating
    pain in abortion.

Unborn animals are protected in their nesting places, humans are not. To abort something is to end something
which has begun. To abort life is to end it.

That's exactly why it's a big deal. Hate crimes occur, rapes occur etc. They are serious events. Events like this cast doubt on future events which no one should want.

Guilty! Sorry! It's because of all of the generalizations I've seen by Republicans about Democrats over my lifetime.

The first election I was old enough to vote in, I voted Republican- but the idiots I voted for turned out to be liars and idiots- and it made me regret giving them confidence they didn't even deserve- so I switched sides and have never looked back.

Sorry, I will never vote alongside or for hateful and reckless idiots that are only in it to powder and feather their own asses.

they ALL lie and feather their own asses! I have no respect for Republicans either.

So that's fine, and you certainly aren't alone with your partisanship. I was a Dem all my life.
I still think Bill Clinton did a decent job.

Obama took us down a different road though with the beginning of progressive socialism,
( not to mention PC politics) and that is anathema to this old Blue Dog Dem..

I vote as I see fit. I backed Hilary in '08, but her warmongering corruption made her a no go.

Come 2024 I'll look them all over again from scratch

Barkley is an American treasure and funny as hell no matter his political beliefs but he's actually said he has never voted Republican. (and to some black folks he's considered an Uncle Tom even if he is a Democrat)

At least this and the Covington fake hate crime received some press. Every other fake hate crime was a reported as a hate crime, which the media used to instil fear and loathing in the pliable brain of useful idiots, then received zero press once they were revealed to be fake.

He hasn't been convicted of anything.

    Allegedly did.

He really is funny. I was browsing his quotes and love this one.

I still don't even know who the person is. Never heard of them, don't know what they look like, don't care about The TV show Empire. You guys are nuts, as no one has acted on the story here that much. Besides like 2 discussions started at the break of this story, it has been the right obsessing with countless discussions. The news media is covering it, because that's their job. They go based on the story when it breaks, and go from there. Until actual evidence roles in, it's just opinions that are the job of pundits to give out. Ask people here, and most didn't have a take on it. My only response was; Who is that, and what criminal is crazy enough to do this, with the Arctic chill going through at the time? It's not fake news, it's the way reporting has always been. It goes based on breaking info, and evolves as it goes along. So don't get on a high horse, thinking people are conspiring fake stories just to shit on you. This whole fake news bit, isn't what you all make it anyway.
