In his urge to build his worthless wall he is ignoring the military needs for the lower ranks. He is taking funds that they need to repair what has been destroyed by previous policies in the privatization of housing:

The sheer number of questionnaire respondents is astounding. While 44.7% of respondents responded neutrally or favorably, 55.53% dissatisfaction rate is alarming. As we continue our qualitative analysis, we will learn much more about their experiences and identify geographic “hot spots” for issue areas.

Through our preliminary research it has become apparent that there is a disconnect between our findings related to resident satisfaction and what has been reported by privatized housing companies."

Give me a fucking break! Trump got bonespur deferments. Trump's circle NEVER sent a kid into combat--certainly NEVER willing. He's got 2 boys, either of them 'serve'? Trump's circle didn't SERVE. Well maybe some of the the WWII types who seem to be among his friends. How many BASES are in Manhattan? Did any of his circle ever wander into a Manhattan recruiting office? (Assuming there are some).

I notice that no one on the right is responding to this thread. I really do not blame them since they no he is a coward who never served his country in any way, shape, or form, just as he isn't doing so now. Part of the funding that he is planning on using for his wall was to be used to build a new school for the military children. Of course that will be gone if he gets his way.

One of the reasons why I posted this article was to show the right wing useful idiots the end result of privatizing certain function of the government, in this case military housing. When I, and one of my brothers, was in the military back in the 60's we clean our own area, killed roaches, etc. The family housing units were taken care of by fellow brothers in arms, and the houses were kept in good shape. That has all changed with the private contractors who are more interested in profit (and I would assume most of them never served). When profit takes the place of pride in workmanship this is what will happen.

No one should really be all that surprised by this.

1) People who live in public housing have had to put up with substandard living conditions for decades.
2) Republicans love the holy dollar and privatizing shit far more than they love the military, who get only lip service, thoughts, and prayers.
3) Privatizing anything allows more $$ to flow into private pockets and less to be used for the purpose designated. Just look at for-profit schools and hospitals, for two examples.

This is what happens when you select a leader who's made a career of this sort of thing.
