The next President in 2025 will likely be a democrat. It is very common for the Presidency to switch parties after two terms
I would include that veterans are being treated far better now, regulations are no longer strangling our companies and small businesses, more conservative federal appellate judges, two Supreme Court Justices (more to come) and a president who understands that without a border, we have no country. I believe that he genuinely loves America, a refreshing change from the last president,
Hello and welcome Walter Wilson,
I love Robert Reich. He's great. He's got a good perspective.
But I think he's got the same problem I do. Many of us share this problem.
He's too smart.
He's overlooking something.
Voters are uninformed and some of them are influenced by feelings more than issues.
Bernie has it all, if you really want sensible policy for everyday people.
And I love Bernie, would vote for him in a heartbeat.
But the problem with Bernie is he lacks charisma.
Oh, he's got some charisma. But he doesn't peg the meter.
Like him or not, Trump has it. He's got this Elvis-like magnetism.
Obama has it, too.
Uninformed, distracted voters go for somebody with charisma.
We need somebody with Bernie-like sense, who says all the right things, and also pegs the charisma meter.
Somebody who is able to capture the minority vote, lay out good policy, and look good on camera, be captivating.

Good Post, SK.
Lots of Candidates. Bernie Sanders seems like a Moderate choice. I have to agree with the video, someone needs to think about the American Worker and the 'Have-Nots'.
(Open Borders ... is NOT a winning strategy. Importing Third World Labor to compete with the American Worker is NOT a 'vote-getter')
Good morning, PoliTalker.
An interesting statistic, no Socialist or a party with Socialism in its name has ever received more than .02% of the vote in a national presidential election. The siren allure of free stuff (sic) is overwhelmed by the starving people in Venezuela.
Socialism violates our Constitution. The Constitution would have to be voided for Socialism to become our economic unit.
Besides, President Trump said, "American will NEVER be a Socialist nation."
I believe that he is right... unless the Democrats can import a few more million illegals (non-citizens) for their votes. They are already voting in S.F. and an illegal (non-citizen) woman in Texas has lost her appeal for a conviction and eight (8) year jail sentence for voting illegally.
You are correct, Jack...as are the many others who say that importing third world laborers to compete with American workers...is a loser.
There are millions upon millions of Americans anxious beyond measure to work in the fields picking produce for $8.00 an hour...and millions more pleading for a chance to become live-in nannies for those kinds of wages.
Importing third world labor MAKES NO SENSE.

I know you are being facetious.
This 'Elitist' attitude you have towards low wage and unskilled Labor is what got Trump elected.
IMO, the next Democrat needs to INCLUDE the 'Deplorables', you know, the Little People, the ones that work with their hands to feed their families.

Illegals (non-citizens) who lay flooring, put up sheet rock and paint houses are being paid 20 dollars per hour in the Atlanta area. The jefe is paid more.
Betting odds are 2-1 that it is anyone except trump.
Good morning Earl,
Good to hear from you today.
And nobody with a fake comb-over ever got elected until President Trump. There's a first time for everything.
I'm afraid you are going to have to back that up before I'll believe that. There is no place in our Constitution that says we will be a capitalist nation, or that we will not use socialist programs alongside our capitalism. Besides. Trying to claim that Democrats want us to switch from capitalism to socialism is a straw man. Classic Republican arguing, trying to put words in the mouths of Dems. The only thing missing is any Democratic candidate actually claiming we need to abandon capitalism. No. Listen to what they are saying. No Dem candidate says we should end capitalism. They are rightfully saying we need more government programs to help the disadvantaged. Universal health care, K-16 public education, government child care for working parents, paid sick leave and paid maternity leave. You know: All the things that help people live longer in other industrialized nations than we do in the USA.
Everyone should know by now you can believe what President Trump says.
It is a mistake to believe President Trump. The election fraud was carried out by Republicans in North Carolina.

This is how Socialism works in Venezuela:
CNBC:
"Venezuela's Maduro closes border with Brazil, says Colombia crossings could be next
Speaking in a televised address from the country's largest military base in Caracas on Thursday, Maduro said the border with Brazil would be "completely and absolutely" closed until further notice.
The embattled socialist leader also said Thursday he would consider an imminent shutdown of the country's border with Colombia.
The move comes less than 48 hours before an opposition-led plan to deliver aid from collection points in neighboring countries."
Maduro would rather his people starve and die than accept food and medicine from the rest of the world.
