Why are the radicalized right wing extremists obsessed with Justin Smollett?

I don’t give a shit about Palin anymore than I do for Smollett.
In the first six weeks of 2019 there were 28 murders but yet this idiot made national news because he alleges someone yelled MAGA. One has to wonder if this incident would have gotten the same attention if a democrat were in office

What pisses me off the most is the cost and resource used to handle this case that could have been used to solve 28 murders. I hope the city sends him a bill.

Do you agree that if this all turns out to be a hoax that the brothers are also culpable?

And LR, I'm disappointed in your comment about the kid suing WaPo. This is greedy, unreasonable and just plain wrong. Nathan Phillips was just as much defamed as Sandmann. The kid was acting like an entitled snot and I don't know why you would high-five him for treating Mr. Phillips this way. I guess the conventional wisdom of kids having respect for their elders isn't being taught by parents anymore.

this incident IS a real incident of racial violence, against white people. This man was trying to stoke racial tensions in america and could have caused a great amount of harm. At the very least the next time this happens (actually), fewer people will believe it because of Jussie's actions.
