Judge Juan M. Merchan wrote that Trump “appears to take the position that his situation and this case are unique and that the pre-trial publicity will never subside. However, this view does not align with reality.”

Wow. I didn't think it was possible to get far enough left to consider CNN and Don Lemon radicalized right wing extremists .

This will be Smollet after he gets out of prison. Had a good thing going, fucked it up.
You're completely delusional and you haven't addressed my actual comment. Today the police chief gave a press conference... "..as is their practice when confronted with a possible hate crime, Johnson said, “We were treating Smollett like a victim.”“We gave him the benefit of the doubt,” he said. “When we discovered the actual motive, quite frankly, it pissed everybody off.”
I and others did the very same thing the PD did... we presumed innocence until facts showed otherwise. Too bad you schmucks can't do the same but instead rushed to judgment on day one.
“What greater gift than the love of a cat.”
― Charles Dickens
Saying a story doesn't pass the sniff test is not saying the guy was guilty and making it up. You choose to ignore that difference. And rushing to judgement is tweeting "this is a modern day lynching" after only hearing the accusation. And this was done by a former prosecutor who of all people should know better.
