My mistake, it is O3 that absorbs infrared.

Sailor never once mentions domestic heating in any of his posts here.

Stop pretending to be from England, we know you're not.

I'm referring to your stupid argument about how if there were no coal plants, the NE would have been blacked out.

It's the same thing as saying that without dirt, plants couldn't grow.

    In both cases, you're wrong...

You're wrong that if coal was replaced with 40 years of renewables, the NE wouldn't have been blacked out.

You'd be wrong about plants not growing without dirt because of hydroponics.

So you present a false choice in your argument and the only reason you do that is because you're an insecure little turd.

I don't buy that you're from England. I think you're just some poseur who thinks it sounds cool to elevate your character to where you think you can judge things from an unbiased place.

Fact is you're some Conservative poseur, aren't you?

Well let's ask the man himself then!! Yes, ozone absorbs IR but that's totally irrelevant to the discussion. I am sorry but you'll have to up your game when talking to me. I have a 2:1 honours in chemistry, albeit gained some years back, however I believe the physical laws of the universe have not changed substantially in the intervening years.

There is no mention on this thread of domestic heating until you bring it up.

If you were 'honours in chemistry' you do understand the concept of equilibrium then, yes?

Grasping at straws is still a ways ahead of drowning in ignorance.

When you don't see me, it isn't because my head is underwater.

I've been standing on the shore trying to throw you a life preserver.

If China wants to kill their citizens with toxic coal, by all means...we should ship whatever's left of our industry overseas. The issue is a severe reduction in the use of coal in this country. You of all people should appreciate that, although I guess you don't spend much time on our lakes/streams.
