I’m sure this one is somehow ‘different’ lol. I actually wasn’t aware of how common and ordinary national emergencies are since Bush and Obama both declared roughly a dozen of them and they were barely noticed or mentioned in the media.

The question is how the courts will rule on this one. There seems to be a fair amount of precedent in favor of Trump’s side.

Like I’ve been saying, there seems to be a solid precedent.

Interesting that I Love Amerikkka has already taken for granted the end of the separation of Powers. We must see if we can't dig up George 111 and send him over - not quite as fat, slightly less German and above all, already dead!

questionable about appropriations -however the Emergency powers are extensive. It depends on if SCOTUS
finds emergencies take prescidence over appropriations.
I think they will as that's a POTUS plenary, and statute power

Hysteria about immigrants is nothing new to the United States. Ultimately we always get back to our constitution.

So do you agree or disagree that Presidents have the power? Your last statement seems to imply that you do.

As to your first statement, you are 100% correct. I have always laid the blame at the feet of fuckhead Ryan and McCuntell. If McCuntell wanted the wall we would have the wall. But he is as much an open borders prick as pelosi is an open borders cunt. I truly hope they have grand daughters and they are viciously attacked by illegal aliens. Or better yet get hooked on fentanyl coming across the border. That will truly make me happy

    Double post.

    Thanks Anatta and Earl.

The board has been giving database errors.

The Coast Guard (military) already protects are coastal borders, ... so there's that precedent that it is already a military matter.

And we know that Obama sued Arizona because of its State immigration law, ... so there is precedent that the State's have no independent immigration authority.

If we are lucky, the courts decision on the wall, ... could provide the impetus to abolish sanctuary cities ... which are already illegal.

    So lol?

Trying telling the feds ‘you have my assets and I want them back’ and see how far you get with it. It was still a case of a president moving money in a ‘dictatorial’ fashion, without congressional approval.

    So lol?

The president either has authority to move monies around or he doesn’t.
