Default Is the "Green Dream" viable?

    The Green New Deal.

It would end domestic airline travel, the internal combustion engine, fossil fuel usage, most electricity generation and even ban cow farts.

Those who choose to not work are entitled to the same rewards as those who cannot work and those who choose to work.

    BEATOFF ADDRESSES HIS RALLY AUDIENCE

Failed Senate candidate Beatoff O’Rourke praised the Green New Deal on Monday, despite widespread mockery of the socialist proposal from former bartender Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

“I’m really excited about the leadership there to meet our commitment to the generations that follow,” O’Rourke told BuzzFeed. “It is the best proposal that I’ve seen.”

It took a century to build the nation’s electric grid, but if the goals of a resolution, H. Res. 109 sponsored by U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) are reached, dubbed the Green New Deal, anywhere from 62 percent to 82 percent of the grid would need to be replaced within ten years with so-called renewable energy, as the plan calls for eliminating coal and natural gas electricity generation — and nuclear, which does not even emit carbon.

All consumption of natural gas and petroleum for home heating in the winter and making hot water would have to cease and all homes would have to somehow be refitted with electric heat generation and boilers.

Every car and truck in America that runs on petroleum would have to be replaced with electric vehicles. It would be the end of the internal combustion engine.

Every building in America would have to be “upgrade[d] or replace[d]” to be net-zero carbon emitting.

Or else, scarce carbon sequestration technology would have to be rapidly deployed to reach the resolution’s goal of “net-zero emissions” by 2030, outlined in a summary distributed by Ocasio-Cortez and reported by NPR.

It doesn't matter. Republicans oppose everything good and intelligent and forward thinking by knee jerk reaction.
Your cynicism is baked in by Limbaugh and the rest of your disgusting fat ugly leaders.

Trump will have no problem getting reelected unless dims come to their senses which I don't see happening.
In addition to the link, a newly elected dim Muslim congresswoman is repeatedly spewing anti-semetism remarks and can't even realize it.
And now Kamala is calling for reparations to blacks. They've completely lost their collective minds.
The libertarians solidified themselves as a nonviable party after Johnsons inept campaign. They shot their wad last election.
Too bad. I was hoping for a viable alternative to Trump.
There are one or two or three but they'll be swallowed up by the crazies.
At least that Starbucks CEO guy understands he has to run as an independent. He knows he has no chance against the crazies.

People who have no money might be willing to take that pledge, since it would cost them nothing.

Yeah, I thought about that. We're not sure McSlawber has any money.

He claims to be "an esteemed member of the maritime community with years of experience commanding RORo, battleships and an admiral in the coast guard."

Nothing good, intelligent, or forward thinking about this nonsense.

He wears many hats and claims to have multiple college degrees. Says he took pre-med science courses to boost his GPA to get into a third tier law school.

How did he find the time between his alleged stints "commanding RORo, battleships and an admiral in the coast guard?"
