Default "California Gov. Gavin Newsom to draw down guard troops at border"

"California Gov. Gavin Newsom plans Monday to withdraw several hundred National Guard troops from the state’s southern border with Mexico in defiance of the Trump administration’s request for support from border states."

“The border ‘emergency’ is a manufactured crisis, and California will not be part of this political theater,” Newsom"

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/...er/2835454002/

So now we got two of the four States on the border acknowledging Trump's emergency as bogus, and the Mayor of El Paso, where Trump is going tonight to hold a campaign rally, contradicting Trump's fabrication that the wall decreased violence in his city

When does the charade end, is there anyone other than Trump, his GOP lackeys, Trump's right wing media, and the lemmings who still don't see Trump's Wall obsession as strictly his effort to save face for his base? Even the people living on the border see it for what it is, "a manufactured crisis"

This is interesting. Trump should remove the wall between Mexico and California. And give monies for Oregon, Nevada and Arizona to build a border wall with California. You know, keep them in.

People in Portland put stickers on their For Homes Signs that say “no Californians wanted”.

Why stop there, he could throw them out of the country, include the NE States while he was at, unfortunately, that wouldn't leave anyone left to support all the remaining red states, but he would win the Electoral vote every time he ran

    Amazing, isn't it?

I actually can understand Trump a bit...he is so fucked up the charade is beyond his abilities to see. But the followers...the supporters!!!

How can they do it? What motivates them?

Some of the assholes in Congress...(Lindsay Graham and Mitch McConnell, that was directed at you two) I can see. They need Trump's voters. They do not want to lose such easy prey.

But the supporters out here in field???

    Makes no sense.

No need to throw them out at all. California wants them. And of course we all know California could not support them (or itself) without all of the other states federal tax monies.

I have no idea why sellers would have problems with people willing to pay higher prices. I get why buyers and renters might be upset.

Newsom has had his eye on the Presidency for a long time. The ultimate irony for him is he needs/wants Trump to win re-election so he can run in 2024. It’s not that he can’t run in 2028 (if a Democrat beats Trump) but 2024 is optimal for him
