It cost Bush Sr the office and he really cared not to raise taxes. Trump just
says whatever the fuck he wants with no idea whatsoever if it's possible or effective.
He gets away with anything. They don't care. They literally don't give a fuck about anything.
Trump has more "read my lips" moments per second than the last 44 put together since 1787.

I think America has finally reached a point where we don't have collateral for our treaury department.

We have about 20 trillion dollars of Gold sitting in Fort Knox.

Without it, I doubt we would be able to sell treasury bonds to the countries who continue to buy them, which basically finances our deficit.

Now that we have reached that point, we may have problems being able to sell our treasury bonds on the international market to offset our deficit.

Oddly, that is exactly what Cheney said to Bush as he was pushing his second tax cut. He said "Reagan proved the debt does not matter'.
It is Republican policy. Crank up the debt and then they think you can justify ending all programs that help the poor or middle class. That is the goal. The debt is just a way to get there.

Seems the only people who care about the deficit are those currently not in power.

Truth. That's exactly how they rationalized deficit spending, grow out of it, drop taxes of the wealth creators and
all boats get trickled up somehow.

Pointing out your hypocrisy on the deficit doesn't mean we share your phony concerns.

What is my hypocrisy on the deficit? I've stated several times how I will tackle it once I'm anointed King. It won't be easy and will piss off dims as well as pubs.
