Fear, many Preppers are longing for the day society collapses and they will be the ones prepared, while the 1% is hoarding money because they plan to buy themselves out of any trouble, and they want their children to be guaranteed admission into the upper class so they wont have to get their hands dirty. Self reliant meet helpless.

Desperation to keep your stash. There is an us versus them mentality in both groups. If society broke down, no doubt we would much more "on our own" than we are today. The interdependent social network that keeps us all alive and allows for individuals to specialize on Medicine, Law, Art, Science, Math while not worrying about farming, clean water, and personal safety would fall apart. The value of the money the 1% has stashed would also disappear, and those who have depended their entire life on paying other people to do all the activities of daily living would be unable to survive. So why are they political bedfellows, because the 1% is using the hard working individual in an effort to keep his stash. The American way, if you can enslave enough people to work for less than the value of their service, you get rich, especially if you never let them actually catch the carrot you dangle in front of them. Keeping taxes high on the middle class and low on the wealthy (percentage wise) perpetuates the financial enslavement system. The individualist gives up on being financially wealthy and preps, the wealthy promotes the system and sits on a huge pile of case. BAM, modern America, Trumpism!

I could pick apart all of your sophistry, but the two bolded statements contradict each other

The 1%. Hmmmm. That is probably why no one hears the Clintons, Pelosi, the Obama's etc speaking out for any of this. Interesting.

To me, Hillary was less 1% than Rump, she would not have supported that tax giveaway Rump did last year. I think the 1% loves the distraction at the border, while they continue to rape the rest of us.

ALL of the other Democratic candidates would have been better than HRC for the 99%, and HRC would have been better than Rump.

HRC was more conservative than most Republicans on economic/wallstreet issues.

It is tantamount to equating the most powerful people with those who are attempting to create a viable business on their own.
Rump inherited a huge real-estate empire from his father and turned it into an ego feeding franchise... not particularly helpful to society. Rump points to his wealth and uses it as an illustration of his value, many fall for that. I do not.
