There are quite a few Republican Senate seats up in '20. It's not going to be a good year for the party.
Sure there exists a "huge anti trump demographic," but unfortunately that demographic exists in Blue States or urban areas outnumbered by rural districts in red states. Remember, more Americans voted for Hillary largely cause they disliked Trump, but he still won, it comes down to three or four States, and that aren't part of the "huge anti Trump demographic"

Republicans have to defend 22 States, but the overwhelming number of them are in red states, only three or four up for grabs, meaning the GOP is the favorite to retain the Senate

But where is that 55% located?

As I noted, the election will come down to three of four rust belt States, Trump can have over half the nation hate him and still win, remember he didn't win the popular vote in 2016

Trump had the worst favorability ratings of any candidate in 2016 yet he still won (he ran against the person with the second worst favorability ratings) So while Trump has horrible approval ratings it doesn't guarantee a 2020 loss like althea seems to think
Partially true, don't see a Calf or Mass favorite selling big in Ohio, but keep in mind the best candidate running against Trump is the "anybody but Trump" candidate, the Democrats don't have to resurrect a new Obama to win

I remember that in 2004, ABB, Anybody But Bush and we saw how that turned out. Again, not in any way saying Trump is going to win.

It’s a crapshoot at this point.

How about anyone but the raging socialist lol? If the election were next month Trump would position himself as the anti-socialist.

And if democrats thought their socialist candidate X would be a shoe-in, they’re delusional.

I don't remember it that way. The converse is true. And...millenials and non white voters refused to show up in '16. That changed in '18, and will also be a factor in '20.

Anti Socialist propaganda only plays to Republicans who would never vote Democrat anyway. He's going to need more than 'lock her up' 2.0

The Master Brander will just need to brand his opponent as a socialist lol.

When was the last time a socialist won the electoral college?

Again true, the "anybody but Trump" candidate on their own won't win, largely for the geographic reasons I pointed out above, but it is a huge advantage, the "ABB" was nowhere in comparison

No one knows who is going win, in electoral terms it is a long way off, but back to your original point, Brown is correct, it is not the gimme election that a lot of posters here seem to believe

Don't put a lot of faith in that "socialist" theme, the word "socialism" isn't the same for a lot of younger voters that it is for the OBG's, younger people know it isn't the conspiratorial evil of the Cold War era nor immediately predicates Venezuela

The deeper Trump attempts to label it as unAmerican and implys a supporter is unpatriotic the greater the appeal

She, along with a lot of them, are running for VP consideration, Biden does well in the Rust Belt States, he's got that blue collar Union identity, his problem is if he wants to run and selling himself with the progressive wing, but he has Obama for the later

There were/are no Socialists running. Unless you count the Russian operative in the White House.

Putin won the election in 2016!

Donnie was just a tailcoat effect! In fact, Donald Trump has never been recognized as a legitimate president because of his collusion with Putin to win the election!

You idiots better get your story straight!

    Stay tuned to this channel!

He's so good at elections that he lost by 3,000,000 votes and had to rely on Russian trolls.
