when people can no longer subsidize their giant mcmansions by writing off interest on the loans, houses will start being purchased for what people can really afford and we may return to more efficient and affordable homes being built.

We're south of Decatur in Dekalb county. More like Kirkwood-adjacent.

The average mortgage interest deduction for people who make between $50K-$100K was $8,300 in 2015, and it's probably higher now since the housing market is still growing.

No! But, I have been working more and more contracting to Guitar Center setting up guitars and providing guitar lessons.

Been thinking about setting up my own business doing it just for fun!

I'll ask again... So what? Buy a house for less and borrow less money next time.

It's not 2007. Stop thinking that is still a thing because it's not.

But you all pitched your Russia Tax Cut as something that would lower my tax burden.

    So you lied.

No, it's not about you because you are the one who pushed and propagandized this stupid tax cut as a benefit for everyone.

You're the ones who made promises that the tax cut would result in higher wages (it didn't), a strong market (it isn't), more bonuses and benefits (it didn't), and that it would pay for itself (it hasn't and it won't).

So you are changing your shitty argument mid-stream because all the things you used to pitch this awful policy before never came to pass.

So now you're just acting petty because otherwise, you'd have to admit that you got conned by this thing, and that's just something you aren't prepared to do because your ego couldn't handle it.
