Perhaps, but she is a lane duck speaker for all intents and purposes. All the old boomers are on their last legs as well. It will be a generational war and it will be most evident in the DNC. The only thing that sucks for the GOP is that the rebels are further left than the establishment so they aren't going to be able to do anything to lure them over policy wise. They just have to fan the flames.

I worked on Capitol Hill. The day after election day was my favorite day of the year. Freshmen arriving was my favorite week. I have seen grown middle age staffers have to be escorted out of the HOB's they were having such a hissy fit after their guy lost. I have also laughed in the face of freshmen who thought they were getting our office when we were moving from the interior of the top of Rayburn to the exterior with some big old windows looking over the dome and wanted to bid on our old digs. Freshmen don't get the bottom floor of Rayburn let alone the top. They are lucky if all their office space is even connected into a single suite. They are so fresh and optimistic. They seniority system will beat them down if it hasn't already. Based on how absolutely pissy AOC was at the SOTU, I am guessing she is already getting a full cup of comeuppance.
