One, on topic...Donald Trump is terrified of the release of his tax returns...AND SO ARE the members of the GOP.

The reason for that apparently is because, when released, there is information that will be revealed embarrassing to Trump...and to the fools who continue to support him.

Two...if you think that the "dynamic" between us is that you are correct and I am wrong...I can understand why you think that on the "collusion" issue, you will be correct and I wrong. You are delusional.

That "dynamic" does not exist...and you apparently are already WRONG about my position on the collusion issue.

I do not do "believing"...so I cannot "believe" that collusion is delusional. In addition, MY POSITION is that I will accept whatever the Special Counsel's investigation reports. How the hell can I be wrong. I simply will ACCEPT whatever the SC decides.

You are saying the very notion of "collusion" is a delusion. YOU MIGHT BE WRONG...I cannot be.

You are fun to batter...although there are times I feel as though I am picking on a not-especially-intelligent child...who's ability to reason is impaired. That makes me feel a bit guilty.

IMHO the "collusion" bs is something that trump threw out there as a diversion, to throw ppl & media off, have them talking about collusion (not crime) as opposed to conspiracy which is a crime.. He has said thousands of times, over & over there was no collusion, HE IS NOT SAYING OVER & OVER THOUSANDS OF TIMES THERE WAS NO CONSPIRACY..

Nor is his shitty washed up lawyer.....

So if it is found out that there was collusion, they will say so what, not a crime........

"There is no question former President Trump bears moral responsibility. His supporters stormed the Capitol because of the unhinged falsehoods he shouted into the world’s largest megaphone," McConnell wrote. "His behavior during and after the chaos was also unconscionable, from attacking Vice President Mike Pence during the riot to praising the criminals after it ended."

    (1) Committee on Ways and Means, Committee on Finance, and Joint Committee on Taxation

Upon written request from the chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means of the House of Representatives, the chairman of the Committee on Finance of the Senate, or the chairman of the Joint Committee on Taxation, the Secretary shall furnish such committee with any return or return information specified in such request, except that any return or return information which can be associated with, or otherwise identify, directly or indirectly, a particular taxpayer shall be furnished to such committee only when sitting in closed executive session unless such taxpayer otherwise consents in writing to such disclosure.
Nowhere in that paragraph does it require a reason before the listed committees can request a tax return.

A reason is required for other committees in part 3.

It is constitutional because Congress in its oversight can look at how the tax law affects taxpayers. Certainly it is reasonable for them to look at how the tax law and possible changes affects the President and others in the government.

The house has the power. Next, next. You should welcome it because you think it would show he is pure as the driven snow. Trump should be happy to release it, since he said he would. We all know he is hiding something bad.

Officials will accuse Democrats of seeking the documents to then leak to the public, which would be a felony, and then argue that Trump’s opponents cannot be trusted enough to see the documents in the first place.

“We are worried about leaks,” one source told the website. “Once we share it with any member of Congress, we assume it becomes a public document.”

Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin will review any request for the returns, which administration officials have been expecting since Democrats took over the House last month, and could potentially reject them and plunge the executive and legislative branches into an extended and unprecedented legal fight.
