Another invasion caravan of illegal immigrants is seeking to reach the U.S. as thousands gather at Mexico’s southern border.

Around 5,600 Central Americans are on Guatemala’s border with Mexico, Mexican officials said.

Some 1,500 migrants who forced their way into Mexico last week are heading northward in the state of Oaxaca without hindrance from authorities, while a third group of about 400 left the Honduran city of San Pedro Sula on Sunday. Calls to join a new caravan in February are also already circulating on social media.

The new administration of leftist President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is facilitating the entry of migrants to Mexico.

Lawyers and migration experts say the migrants’ chances of getting asylum in the U.S. are lower than ever. The Trump administration has sharply limited the daily number of asylum applications processed in ports of entry, sent soldiers to the border, and announced plans to force asylum seekers to wait in Mexico while their applications are considered.

Illegal immigrants say they don’t care about President Trump, and hope U.S. DEMOCRATS will open doors to them.

“It is clear the left is using the caravans to try to destabilize the government in a moment of great polarization,” Honduran political analyst Miguel Cálix said.

The number of illegal immigrants who showed up at the U.S. border in need of medical attention has soared in recent weeks, even as the number of large groups has also surged.

Both trends are proving to be serious impediments to Border Patrol agents, who are being taken off watch duties to either shepherd the sick as they go to the hospital, or process groups of people — leaving the border unsecured.

In one large group of 247 people, 50 of them had to be taken to the hospital, requiring nearly every available agent to leave the field.

“Smugglers and traffickers then use these large groups as ‘cover’ while USBP resources are utilized to arrest and for detention-related duties associated with the large groups,” U.S. Customs and Border Protection said.

Agents said it harkened back to the worst days of the late 1990s and early 2000s, when massive columns of migrants would march across the border.

Those were mostly Mexican males, who figured if they got caught and turned back, they would just try again.

CBP said that since Oct. 1, the start of the fiscal year, some 53 large groups — defined as 100 or more migrants traveling together — were encountered, totaling nearly 8,800 people.

The numbers were released just hours before the Senate was to vote on a new immigration plan from President Trump that would combine a deportation amnesty for 1 million migrants already in the U.S. with $5.7 billion in border wall construction and changes to encourage children to apply for asylum from their homes in Central America.

At least 30,000 illegal border crossings are expected to occur as President Trump signs off on a bill to reopen the federal government until February 15.

Between January 25 and February 15, Department of Homeland Security (DHS) illegal border crossing data indicate that there could be at least 30,000 border crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border. This figure is based on the roughly 1,300 crossings that occur every day at the unsecured southern border with Mexico.

Federal immigration officials have said only about half of illegal aliens who cross the southern border are caught.

Most recently in Arizona’s Yuma Sector, a group of more than 110 illegal aliens scaled a border fence and crossed onto the U.S. side of the border. The group was assisted by a human smuggler.

Illegal immigration at the border data for December 2018 show that the number of invaders has increased 81 percent compared to the year before.

DEMOCRATS WANT TO MAKE ALL OF AMERICA THE ILLEGAL'S SHITHOLE

There is a health crisis on the U.S.-Mexico border that was deliberately covered up during a visit by members of Congress, according to the head of a sanitation company there.

Tricia Elbrock supplies bathrooms at facilities near the border. She said that after she dropped off two portable toilets near the border at the request of the Border Patrol, her cleaning staff was "overwhelmed" after hundreds of migrants used them.

Four days after dropping off portable toilets, the authorities asked her company for an emergency cleaning because DEMOCRAT lawmakers from Washington were coming the following day. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus wanted to see the facilities a young Guatemalan girl who died of sepsis on Dec. 7 had visited.

Elbrock worried about putting her team's health at risk so she paid for employees to get hepatitis shots and gave them masks, gloves, breathing devices, and suits to wear.

“When they went in there to clean, they were overrun,” said Elbrock. “The illegals just threw toilet paper on the floor and piled it up. We had to clean it. That was a concern of ours handling the waste on that toilet paper. So we talked to the Border Patrol. We’re going to pull out. We’re a small, family-owned business. There’s a crisis here — the influx of people. These little counties and towns cannot handle that mass,” Elbrock said. “There’s a health issue."

Last month, an outbreak of disease at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's base in Antelope Wells, N.M., forced officials to close an indoor bathroom that migrants had been using.

Since late September, 100 to 300 people had been illegally entering the U.S. at Antelope Wells multiple times a week, according to County Manager Tisha Green.

Border Patrol deployed a medical personnel unit to those two bases to alleviate pressure on the county’s handful of medical personnel responsible for emergency across 5,000 square miles.

The ranks of a new Central American invasion "caravan" reportedly grew in size to more than 12,000 as of Friday. The horde is now heading to Mexico’s southern border.

Mexican immigration officials in the city of Ciudad Hidalgo, which borders Guatemala, are establishing procedures to expedite the process in which to approve visas for members of the Ccaravan who are arriving daily.

The visas, promised by Mexico’s new leftist President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, allow the invaders to legally travel north through Mexico.

The new policy began on January 17 in response to the new caravan of invaders who left their home country and headed toward the Mexican border on January 15. Officials originally estimated the caravan’s size at about 2,000. Mexico now claims the caravan’s population swelled to over 12,000 invaders, according to local media. Many are expected to attempt to cross illegally into the United States.

Although the new horde is made up of primarily Hondurans, officials report Guatemalans, Salvadorans, and Nicaraguans are also traveling with the group.

Earlier this week, the border city of Tijuana, where previous invasion caravans arrived, reported the arrival of more than 100 Russians who were also seeking to enter the United States illegally.
