20 years of air getting cleaner, year after year, has ended this year. Trump should be proud. Reds should be happy.

OK, who is planning on putting a coal stove in their home to warm their house?

Who want's a coal propelled automobile?

How about buying a new Coal burning stove for your kitchen?

Looks like no one needs any coal!

    Next thread please!

Yet without coal the North East would have suffered widespread blackouts in the winter of 2017/18. Do you know what terms dispatchable energy and baseload mean?

Coal is an excellent way to provide a reliable baseload, it is also a reasonable way to provide dispatchable power if the power stations use powdered coal like in Germany. One thing is for sure, wind turbines and solar are next to useless when there is a temperature inversion, resulting in windless conditions and fog for weeks on end.

Do you think investors will jump on investing in NEW coal-fired power plants to replace the ones aging out?

Thanks Obama for fast tracking all those pipelines that allow oil and gas to be transported more economically than coal.

No not in the US, but in India, Germany, China, Japan, South Africa, Vietnam and Indonesia it's a different story.
