Default Trump gubmint shut-down to close airports, cripple nation

Dan McCabe, representative of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association and Sara Nelson, International President of the Association of Flight Attendants, told CNN Monday they weren’t satisfied with President Donald Trump’s supposed border security compromise and demanded he end his shutdown before people get hurt.

“We know all too well what it means when you have gaps in security,” said Nelson. “The TSA was created after 9/11, when I lost my friends, our country shut down, airplanes stopped flying, and we had a massive economic impact from that.”

    another snip of article:

“Federal workers cannot cash ‘thank yous,'” chimed in Nelson, slamming Trump’s statement of gratitude for unpaid workers still on the job. “They can’t even put a tank of gas in their car to get to work. As this starts to crumble and unravel, we’re going to see mass flight cancellations, we’re going to see a system that completely unravels and falls apart.”

“We are days away when the planes stop flying,” she added. “Our members’ jobs are hurt but packages don’t get to trucks that get loaded on those trucks and get to our communities, and medicines don’t get to the hospitals to treat people in those hospitals. No one is going to get away from this unscathed.”

If Trumpf continues his attempt at extortion, he is also going to have the coming economic crash hung around his neck.

All Recent Polls Show Americans Blame Trump for the Shutdown

Six high-quality polls have been released this week touching on Trump, the shutdown, the Democrats in Congress and the wall.
Most confirmed what we already knew from before the shutdown started: Opposition to a border wall is widespread and deep. But beyond that general opposition, the new polls offer some consistent results, including:

Blame, in the public's mind, rests largely at the White House
Many object to the shutdown, especially as a tactic to build the wall,
Few see a wall as an effective way to combat undocumented immigration

Default In 4 days, Federal Courts will shut down

The last food stamp payments went out yesterday and on Jan 25, Federal Courts will run out of money and be incapable of operating.

Trump's Shutdown is intentionally designed for this. The "deal" currently on the table is rejected by both parties.

At this point, the only way out is for Congress to pass a veto-proof bill to re-open the government. Moscow Mitch is as well compensated by Putin as Trump is, so Republicans in the Senate are going to have to grow some in order to get a bill to the floor in the Senate. All signs show that they aren't going to do that.

Which means, this shutdown is indefinite.

Default This is what the Dems should say to Trump

That bill went to Congress where committee hearings were held; amendments were proposed; studies were conducted that tested the cost, effectiveness etc. of the proposal; testimony was held in Congress; debate ensued and if the measure had enough support, a vote was taken and the measure was passed. That's how you legislate. It takes hard work, planning and the ability to actually negotiate. Your pet project doesn't get to leap frog over the pathway laid out by the Constitution and 250 years of precedent. You have chosen to skip over this entire process (even when you had majorities in both Houses) and have resorted instead to taking the American public hostage in exchange for your wall. You want a wall? Put down the gun you are holding to the head of the American people and get to work.

He took it to the American people on TV last week and it still was rejected, as poll after poll proves.
