The EU is not called the Fourth Reich for no reason.

The social media giant was paid hundreds of thousands of pounds by Britain’s two most prominent Remain campaign groups to stir up support for a second referendum.

Adverts posted by the Remain group Best for Britain feature orang-utans with the claim that the great apes are under threat because Britain “plans to reverse” an EU commitment to “introduce a ban on palm oil... in return for corporate trade deals”.

The series of orang-utan adverts has been posted 32 times since November and has been viewed at least seven million times. Best for Britain has also posted dire warnings on the future of sea turtles over the use of plastic straws and bluefin tuna over allowing ‘big game fishing’ if Britain leaves the EU.

Michael Gove, the Environment Secretary, said last night: “This is the same old scaremongering from the same people who didn’t want us to leave the EU. It’s not true that plastic straws and stirrers will be allowed after Brexit – in fact we announced a ban before the EU and they are playing catch up. It’s not true that the EU is planning to ban palm oil, in fact the UK already goes further than the EU.”

A Government source added: “These are desperate smears from people who are seeking to overturn the referendum result. Remain campaigners should withdraw these adverts and apologise for pumping out fake news on Facebook.”
    . . .

A Best For Britain spokesman said: “We welcome the support of our patrons, especially the thousands of people who have chipped in small amounts to support our work.”

The environmental facts in the article are so wrong Political groups like Remain and the Al Gorians ... are detrimental to true environmentalism.

I take it you're a supporter of Corbyn, Iolo. What do you make of the company he's keeping?

Just a few days ago the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Philip Hammond, held a conference call with dozens of global mega-capitalists. He promised them that he and his Remainer cronies in Parliament would make sure that a "no deal" Brexit never happened.

Then on Friday Corbyn chimed in. He's refusing to speak to the PM unless she rules out a "no deal" Brexit first.

Why are the capitalist bloodsuckers so dead set against Brexit? And why is Corbyn siding with them, eh?

He believes in principles, and fears that if he goes against 'Ze Peepul's Vill', masses of northern constituencies will turn against Labour for good. Mrs May seems desperate to keep the threat of a no-deal suicide hanging over her party, so it seems the best bet to get that seen off before entering into the farce of 'talks' with someone who can only listen to extremist Brexiteers. Like many of my friends, Mr Corbyn is old enough to have lived with the notion that we could never build socialism inside the EU, which should therefore be avoided. Now the choice is between the EU and becoming a second Puerto Rico under the Trumpnutter some of us think differently.

My maternal grandmother was Welsh, her first name was Hanna. That was a very unusual name in Ireland back then. Look Jack, I was brought up with Irish rebel songs and tales of the Black and Tans. There's nothing you can tell me about the Auld Sod, trust me.

The Dutch love the English, that's bullshit. The Spanish love the money that Brits inject into their economy, they'd be fucked without us. We, along with the Germans, buy a fuckton of properties along the various Costas, indeed over 700,000 Brits live there.

That's bullshit, the Dutch love the English we saved their arses in WW2. The Spanish love Brit's money, their economy would be fucked without us and the Germans buying properties there. Over 700,000 Brits live in Spain, did you know that? The French hate us for saving them in WW2, that was the ultimate humiliation to their Gallic pride.

Wow, I managed to silence Jack, result!! Iolo is fairly typical of the miserable sods that inhabit the South Wales valleys. They all seem to have enormous chips on their shoulders and blame the English for everything. Some of their griping is legitimate, but most is not, they have this dream of being free of the English yoke but know damn well that they couldn't exist as a separate nation.
