    Default Impeachment

    A primer on impeachment:

I am asked the question these days about impeachment and how it works. If you want to be able to discuss this issue intelligently and with others who are interested read this primer and you will be good to go with the facts.
Other than some notable specifics, the constitution is fairly vague with the power of impeachment.
The most common misconception is that impeachment is the act of removing a president from his office, this is untrue. Impeachment is the formal accusation of a crime, only after impeachment is a trial held that results in a decision about guilt on the allegations and removal from office.
As spelled out in the Constitution, impeachment of the President, the Vice President and all civil officers of the Untied States is a matter for the House of Representatives and the resulting trial is the duty of the Senate. Removal from office can only take place after conviction and by a two thirds approval vote in the Senate.
The Constitution says “The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.” The founding fathers left this up to some interpretation; however it seems clear that a conviction for treason or bribery would require automatic removal while it would be left to the Senate to determine what other high crimes or misdemeanors will result in removal.
Impeachment of a President has only occurred two times, with an additional threatened impeachment in the case of Richard Nixon, who resigned in the face of that threat thus suspending the process. Both Andrew Johnson (1868) and Bill Clinton (1998) were impeached but not convicted of the charges and thus not removed from office.

    Cool

    1. First and foremost; "fully" complete the Mueller Report.
    2. Then back it up with Real House Investigations
    3. Then take into account, all the State Investigations
    4. Then Impeach

We all know the Trumpbots will not believe anything in the report, no matter what, so just discount them anyway.

On Wednesday January 16th, 2019 - 57 voted as patriots to uphold sanctions against Vladimir Putin's Russian Oligarchs.
45 Democrats, 1 Independent, and 11 Republicans, 1 Couldn't be bothered to vote .... Bernie Sanders.
42 voted as American Traitors.... all of them Republicans

Remember this on Tuesday November 3rd, 2020

I agree, but at that point also look at the clock, look at how strong the evidence is, look at how spineless the Republicans in the Senate are and consider allowing the 2020 election to happen and get rid of him by a vote of the people, if it looks likely.

If we end up having to impeach Rump their will be a generation of idiots who are sure their was a coup de etat.
