I won’t make a prediction on the outcome but I think republicans can outlast the democrats on this.

    IF they stay in line.

Do RINOs have the votes to override a presidential veto, Beto?

Both sides and their bases feel justified. If democrats want government to attract good people they better think about giving Trump his wall. Since we know government attracts shitty people, conservatives are not worried about the shutdown effect on hiring. Democrats, you really have more to lose and you're too stupid and too in love with hearing your rhetoric to see it.

Make no mistake there are RINOs. However, there would have to be 20 in the Senate and 56 in the House.

Trump was elected running on ‘the wall’. He referenced it countless times during the Campaign.

In a sane political environment and sans *a good argument* for not allocating funds for the wall—democrats should yield on it.

That’s why I think democrats can be wore down—if republicans stay in line behind Trump. If it’s not apparent already, sooner or later it’s going to become apparent the democrat’s ‘argument’ is sheer opposition for the sake of it.

The News Fakers will only be able to run interference for them for so long.

DEMOCRATS are now firmly established as the party that fights for the "right" of foreigners to walk across our border whenever they like, apparently.

The latest Schumer Shutdown is a godsend for Trump. IMO.

If DEMOCRATS really believed that "walls don't work," they'd give Trump what he wants and then wait for it to fail, wouldn't they?

The fact that they won't is telling.

Could DEMOCRATS and RINOs together override a veto?

To pass a bill over the president's objections requires a two-thirds vote in each Chamber. Historically, Congress has overridden fewer than ten percent of all presidential vetoes.

If walls are ineffective because people can just get a visa, shouldn't we eliminate visas because people can overstay them?

I don't know if/when the Democrats will cave, but I hope Trump sticks to his guns even after he declares an emergency and starts construction with the military.
