Default "Trump Hires 17 New Lawyers"

"Those 17 new hires will largely be working on ways to keep Trump’s “confidential discussions with top advisers” from being publicly disclosed–either to congressional Democrats or by the special counsel in his forthcoming report on Russian electoral interference during the 2016 presidential election and possible obstruction of justice"

"It's almost as if he’s building a law firm within a government entity,” Trump’s personal lawyer Jay Sekulow told the London-based paper”

    https://lawandcrime.com/high-profile...gators-at-bay/

So let me see if I got this straight, Trump with his shutdown lays off or isn't paying 800,000 people, but he goes out and hires seventeen lawyers? And one would have to believe those lawyers he would hire don't come cheap

And Trump was the one who told those 800,000 that they would have to find new ways to get by with less?

I think you will be right about that. How do you defend someone like Trump? I think people don’t fully understand till they are exposed to him. They can’t all be crazy like Rudy.

They were hired by the White House, and the White House employees weren't layed off and will be receiving a paycheck this month unlike the other 800,000 employees

You can if the money is right, besides, you might get a chance to be part of infamous Constitutional cases which can't hurt your career even if Trump stiffs you on the bill

Hummm.....he could just invoke executive privilege and not comply. This is something else. My money is that Jarrod and Donnie Jr. are in the kill zone and he cannot invoke privilege over those conversations.

Trump lied about his lawyers telling him he can declare a National Emergency on the border... He's already breaking International law on asylum seeks.

My guess, they didn't know what they were in for till they got there

And, as I noted, now they got the chance to be part of Constitutional cases, which has to look good on any lawyers resume

Sure we do, as we will pay for the seventeen new lawyers

Hiring the lawyers isn't really the shame, but rather the timing, Trump encourages others to put up with the difficulties of going without but waste no time hiring personnel he thinks he needs immediately
