Just about EVERY poll taken shows there is almost NO DEMAND from the American people for a wall. Almost no one supposes we will be "protected" by a wall.

None of what is going on right now about the wall...is about border security...or the need for more security. This mess is all a function of what Trump promised.

He, and the Republicans in congress, were willing to accept the bill passed earlier with NO funding designated for the wall. Then a couple of media assholes chimed in...and he folded to them.

What I laid out is the most likely scenario.

Trump's getting pressure from the GOP to end the shutdown because of tax season and people not getting their refunds in a timely manner.

So Trump will declare that there's an emergency, and doing so gives him executive powers to allocate DoD funds. Only the courts are going to rule against him, and no wall will get built.

Then all of you will not mention the wall ever again.
