Default not a good time to fly: TSA workers going w/o pay, quitting their jobs

"Every day, I'm getting calls from my members about their extreme hardships and need for a paycheck," Hydrick Thomas, president of AFGE's TSA Council said. "Some of them have already quit and many are considering quitting the federal workforce because of this shutdown."

make sure your life insurance policy is current, tell your family you love them before boarding

I wish it were that easy to just not fly, but that would do unimaginable damage to our economy.

Well, there are long delays in getting thru security.. and hopefully security isn't compromised..

So many people have to fly for business these days.

Of course Trump isn't paying the Border Patrol or the US Coast Guard either.. So much for drug interdiction.

I still can't believe Trump had the nerve to get in front of the cameras and say he knows that many, many laid off Fed workers agree with his shutdown, see the bigger picture or some shit like that

    oh wait yeah I do

For some unknown reason (probably because we fly a lot?) we suddenly got that TSA pre-check thing. So we don't have to take half our clothes off, take everything out of our carry-ons, and let them look at our phones and laptops. Do you travel a lot by air?

I have Global Entry/TSA Pre-Check ... but not every Airport can accommodate TSA Pre-Check
