Hillary? What are you huffing?
And Hillary Clinton is still first and foremost on their minds.
https://peltthepundits.com/2019/01/b...ctoral-college“In two presidential elections since 2000, including the most recent one in which Hillary Clinton won 2.8 million more votes than her opponent, the winner of the popular vote did not win the election because of the distorting effect of the outdated Electoral College,” Cohen said. “Americans expect and deserve the winner of the popular vote to win office. More than a century ago, we amended our Constitution to provide for the direct election of U.S. Senators. It is past time to directly elect our President and Vice President.”...
Democrats have long sought a way around the electoral college, which prevents the U.S. from being controlled by major population centers which are Democrat strongholds.

Well, just maybe because she is mentioned in the first sentence of the wrapped quote in the OP? Could that be a possibility?
Why is it that you never have an intelligent thought on the topic? You said you were leaving, Why did you come back?
It's sad that liberals keep saying that the electoral college, the 2nd. Amendment, etc, and some, the constitution itself, are outdated. It seemed to work for the last 240 yrs. Our system of government produced the most powerful country on earth. Why change it? To become the same government our founding fathers fought to free us from?
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

I guess they think a democratic controlled House's will supersedes the 12th Amendment.

One American, one vote.
Simple. Fair.
It should be like the rest of modern democracies around the world.
Teabaggers and rural states already have the privilege of being vastly over represented in the U.S. senate. Exactly ow much more over-representation do they really need?
I do not think the founding fathers intended a system where the party that was routinely losing the popular would nonetheless be given a stranglehold on the levers of government.
What is comes down to is that Republicans are afraid they can't sell their shitty ideas, and want to cling to a system that allows them to be in control even as most people continue to vote against them.
