Default This is TRUMP'S "big beautiful wall"? PICs old, new, proposed. + DRUG DRONES!

Let me start out by saying who would have expected that it was even remotely plausible, "a big beautiful wall"? People who have never traveled, people who don't understand western topography, people who have never traveled to the SW region of the country? People who have ZERO idea what something like this would cost? People with double digit IQs? Anyone would have to have staggering levels of ignorance on the many variables to believe TRUMPS FANTASY of a "big beautiful wall".

PS DOES ANYONE UNDERSTAND 'TAKING' OF LAND? IMMINENT DOMAIN? I posted a couple of days ago, TRUMP WILL BE WORM FOOD before the land disputes will be settled! His kids will be worm food before the land is surveyed, negotiated and bought for his fence.
That's not hyperbole, that is fact!

Here are several pictures. Old fence. New fence. PROPOSED fence. BEAUTIFUL? I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. EFFECTIVE? How many women and kids can scale these? How about young healthy men? How about someone with some ingenuity and a truck and some platform materials or even 'repelling' skills and hooks?

PS As for stemming the flow of drugs, the last pictures are of DRONES, landed or crashed carrying drugs across the border. As soon as Amazon figures out maximum weights for drone delivery of packages the DRUG DEALERS will "acquire" the same technology within days or weeks! Stay tuned. Some of these photos go back to 2015. About the same time I heard Amazon was going to use them for 'package delivery'.

Reporter Christopher Sherman and photographer Rodrigo Abd of The Associated Press are taking a two-week journey along the nearly 2,000-mile US-Mexico border, traveling west from the Gulf Coast to the Pacific Ocean to document life along the divide at the beginning of Donald Trump’s presidency.

Quick glance at Google images, I don't see any. Don't waterways have some 'international' restrictions for building stuff down the middle? Especially those 'bordering' countries? Rings a bell.

    GREAT PICS in this article...

I have no idea. I just think it might be tough building a Wall down the middle of a winding River that stretches over a thousand miles, that's all.

it's not going to be a "big shiny wall" from end to end.
There are places where it's needed -which free up border control agents for other places.

Topography and geology all come into play - places like the Rio may not get more then concertina wire -
but even that slows them down for arrest.

Sure would seem like a 'challenge' to me. I don't think commercial entities navigate anymore. Maybe tourist boats. It's used for farming. I think it's pretty shallow in most parts.

And LAND OWNERSHIP. It's all (TRUMP) bullshit until we know what those #'s are. AND it looks like the railroad(s) have a chunk of the right away. That could get VERY expensive, to 'rent'. I doubt very seriously railroads would cede land! Even for the 'good of their country'.

once there is political will to get it done, it will get done.

why wouldn't railroads cede ( sell) rights of way? are they gonna build more rrs along the border.
It will be like any other eminent domain case. you get buys and holdouts.

So you start building where the rights are settled and work any remains thru courts

There are still cases in court over the seizure of land for the wall, that were started were during Bush. You guys can believe whatever Fox tells you, but it does not work that way, It is all more difficult than you can imagine. Trumps wall is a TV show, not a fact.

Will? BS. $$$$ is the BIGGEST impediment.

Railroads will be able to RENT in perpetuity the right of way. Not to mention the logistics of building next to RR tracks. NO they want give away those rights.

Would you build a house or business on land you might never own?

    Yep.

PS I think, not sure, that I read somewhere some of the LAND acquisitions went back to CLINTON. That was the first time we/they collectively NEEDED border security. About the time of NAFTA which would make perfect sense. Both sides wanted traffic of contents (GOODS) going across the border at CONTROLLED CHECKPOINTS for taxing and tracking.
