I hope you all had a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and enjoyed the time with family and friends.

It wasn't really planned but all of my siblings ended up at my house today at the same time. It was the first time we had all been in the same room since our mom's funeral over 4 years ago. One of my sisters got weepy about that. Then out came the cameras and everybody wanted pix of us all together which got annoying.

I suck at Christmas... You have to be around people that want to hug you and some of them inevitably want to watch football and shout.
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation. We do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but rather we have those because we have acted rightly. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.

Believe nothing on the faith of traditions, even though they have been held in honor for many generations and in diverse places. Do not believe a thing because many people speak of it. Do not believe on the faith of the sages of the past. Do not believe what you yourself have imagined, persuading yourself that a God inspires you. Believe nothing on the sole authority of your masters and priests. After examination, believe what you yourself have tested and found to be reasonable, and conform your conduct thereto.

Booze helps. People want to keep their distance from the drunk one.

There was football on? Damn, I missed it
Common sense is not a gift, it's a punishment because you have to deal with everyone who doesn't have it.

Ah, yes, I thought you meant Christmas day. Chuckie gave Mr. Ed's Bronco's a whooping. I'm no Raiders fan, but anytime any team gives Mr. Ed an ass kicking, it's all good.

Couldn't care any less. I left after halftime and didn't listen to the game on the way home. I had already won the fantasy football money without watching any of the games, I couldn't see why I would want to watch that one.

I didn't go anywhere Christmas eve so the GF and I sat at home and watched the game. I don't do fantasy football or pools but I loved football since I was a kid so I'll watch if there's nothing better on.

The Broncos used to be my team. I watched every game regardless of how they were doing, etc. I lost interest about 3 years ago and just stopped watching. It happened over time, but I find I just don't care anymore.

That isn't he problem I have with the gathering. It's the shouting that gets under my skin now. It didn't bother me when I cared. It's just weird. I know it is.

Usually there is a Christmas game, the Broncos played in it quite often back in the day.
