John F. Kenney Jr., son of President Kennedy, was a sure pick to replace retiring NY Sen. Daniel Moynihan, when, despite 310 hours flight experience, his Piper Saratoga crashed killing everyone aboard.
Arkansas native Hillary Clinton filled the open seat.
DEMOCRATS
California Secretary of State Alex Padilla is refusing to turn over public documents that could shed light on problems with the state’s Motor Voter program, which launched earlier this year to automatically register people to vote when they visit the Department of Motor Vehicles.
Motor Voter has come under fire after many Californian residents were improperly registered to vote, and it seems likely that non-citizens voted this year.
“I don’t think it’s a legitimate response to a Public Records Act request,” said Karl Olson, a partner in Cannata, O’Toole, Fickes & Olson LLP.
Padilla said in a statement, “It is our policy not to comment on pending investigations.”
Padilla declined to explain what investigation he was referring to. The Department of Finance is now auditing the DMV. The two agencies said they are not aware of any other ongoing investigations beyond the audit.

The Steele dossier, a document produced at the behest of the Clinton campaign, is ground zero for the Russia conspiracy theory.
why did the Clinton campaign ever set out to create such a document?
The Steele dossier has been described as opposition research and it was certainly circulated among reporters in order to spread the Russia conspiracy theory in the media. Its contents were circulated more in the Obama-era FBI and the DOJ, and its media rounds seemed geared to creating stories that would justify a FISA warrant.
The dossier’s role was legal, not political. It wasn’t meant for the tabloids, but to create a pretext for an investigation of Trump and his associates.
Steele had been hired by Fusion GPS, a smear firm, which in turn had been hired by the Clinton campaign through Perkins Coie.
In response to a lawsuit, Steele admitted that, “Fusion’s immediate client was law firm Perkins Coie. It engaged Fusion to obtain information necessary for Perkins Coie LLP to provide legal advice on the potential impact of Russian involvement on the legal validity of the outcome of the 2016 US Presidential election.”
“Based on that advice, parties such as the DEMOCRAT National Committee and HFACC Inc. (also known as ‘Hillary for America’) could consider steps they would be legally entitled to take to challenge the validity of the outcome of that election.”
The Steele dossier would have been mostly worthless in a conventional legal challenge of the election, but it was used to launch a very different brand of “legal challenge.”

It is highly implausible that the Clinton campaign had hired a firm to investigate the possibility of Russian election tampering. But it could have been laying the groundwork for a variety of scenarios, including a doomsday scenario in which Hillary lost to Donald Trump.
Hillary never expected to lose, but Steele’s admission offers evidence that some people in the Clinton camp had an "insurance policy.

EVER NOTICE THAT DEMOCRATS ACCUSE OTHERS OF THE THINGS THEY DO THEMSELVES?
Facebook has suspended the account of Jonathon Morgan, the DEMOCRAT "researcher" behind a disinformation campaign against an Alabama Republican candidate who ended up losing the race for a Senate seat. Morgan claimed it was “research.”
Morgan, the CEO of New Knowledge, a social media research firm that published a major report on alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections, has confirmed to The Washington Post that his Facebook account was suspended.
In a statement, Facebook said it had yanked "accounts run by multiple individuals for engaging in coordinated inauthentic behavior" and was investigating them.
"We've removed thousands of Pages, Groups and accounts for this kind of behavior, as well as accounts that were violating our policies on spam and coordinated inauthentic behavior during the Alabama special election last year," Facebook said.
Republican US Senate candidate Roy Moore lost a special election by 1.5 percent to DEMOCRAT Doug Jones, who became the first Senator for Alabama from his party in over 25 years.
