Default Roses Ain’t What They Used To Be

Conservatives have nothing to cheer about now that Brett Kavanaugh joined John Roberts on his first big case involving tax dollars.

I never saw the bloom come off the rose faster that it faded on Bret Kavanaugh. It only took 66 days for Kavanaugh to wilt faster than the last rose of summer.

    . . . I saw this one coming. [As did I.]

When President Trump selected Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court, I knew it was at least a very risky pick.

But he won the hearts of conservatives because of the insanity of the opposition.

Now we know, for certain, that Brett Kavanaugh is a fraud. He should never have been President Trump’s first choice. He’s a weakling. He buckled to the extreme left to salvage his own reputation. I had a bad feeling about this guy – ever since his role in the Vincent Foster cover-up and his tutelage by former independent counsel Kenneth Starr.

How many times do we have to see this kind of betrayal by Republican nominees of Supreme Court justices – Sandra Day O’Connor, Anthony Kennedy, David Souter, John Roberts?

Newly seated Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh joined Chief Justice John Roberts and the court’s progressive wing on Monday in declining to review three cases centered on Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood at the state level.

In dissent, Justice Clarence Thomas accused the majority of “abdicating” its duty for political reasons.

“So what explains the Court’s refusal to do its job here?” Thomas wrote. “I suspect it has something to do with the fact that some respondents in these cases are named ‘Planned Parenthood.'”

Thomas asserted that a “tenuous connection to a politically fraught issue does not justify abdicating our judicial duty.”

“If anything, neutrally applying the law is all the more important when political issues are in the background,” he wrote.

If I had my druthers I would impeach Chief Justice John Roberts for legitimating the ACA when he turned it into a constitutional tax. Naturally, Republicans would never impeach one of their own, nor would Democrats go along. Libs expect more good things from Roberts if he becomes the swing vote for Democrats.

This next one was not decided by the Nifty Nine, but it strengthens my impeach-Roberts suggestion:

And that begs the question: What do the FISC judges and Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts, the ultimate judicial disciplinarian, think about what happened?

For those reasons, the silence of the FISC and Chief Justice Roberts is deafening. Enough concern has been raised about the Russia case for the judiciary to offer us an explanation.

Supreme Court justices are creatures of the federal government; so predicting the outcome of Supreme Court cases involving tax dollars, and/or Wall Street’s income, is a walk in the park. No Supreme Court will ever decide to reduce or eliminate federal government revenues. In short: Repealing the ACA did not stand a chance when it got to the High Court.

Repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 was a snap for most Americans BEFORE Chief Justice John Roberts said it was a constitutional tax.

Roberts must have been talking about midgets when he said this at his confirmation hearing:

“If the Constitution says that the little guy should win, then the little guy's going to win in the court before me, but if the Constitution says that the big guy should win, well then the big guy's going to win because my obligation is to the Constitution.”

Roberts clearly voted for the big guy —— the federal government —— when he abandoned the Constitution in order to save Hillarycare II because every decision involving income tax revenues must go against the little guy.

When more horror stories about patient abuse and bureaucratic death panels surface in the years ahead you can blame one man —— John Roberts. He is the one and only individual who could have repealed the ACA before it took hold.

Finally, John Roberts only followed through on his ACA “constitutional tax” when he voted to continue funding Planned Parenthood’s butcher shops. To no one’s surprise, Kavanaugh replacing Anthony Kennedy amounted to business as usual.

Bottom line: Five isobilateral Supreme Court justices ruled for the parasite class —— not healthcare —— when they upheld the ACA and Planned Parenthood funding. Repealing the ACA and driving Planned Parenthood away from the public trough would have set precedents tax dollar parasites would never allow.

If not money, the Lord only knows what form of payment faux strict constructionists John Roberts and Brett Kavanaugh received.

Fair is fair. Democrats were out to destroy Kavanaugh by any means possible. They made the mistake of putting their hopes on the voice that squeaked:

Some people on social media were turned off by the sound of Ford’s voice, calling her a “Valley Girl,” and slamming her “vocal fry,” a low-pitched, creaky-like sound caused by the movement of vocal cords during speech. Ford’s voice was called “manipulative,” a distraction, and an indication that she was lying under oath by some commenters.

A lower court judge just overruled killing babies. Naturally, filthy lying Democrats really mean they want to uphold Planned Parenthood’s life-killing moneymaker:

"When House Democrats take the gavel, the House of Representatives will move swiftly to formally intervene in the appeals process to uphold the life-saving protections for people with pre-existing conditions and reject Republicans' effort to destroy the Affordable Care Act,” Pelosi said in a statement.

Nutso Nancy and Vomit Schumer will insist that any replacement legislation must be another omnibus bill. Democrat scum will never agree to addressing one problem at a time in separate bills. Such laws could be written in a few hundreds words. A bill printed on one page sure as shuts down constipation of the brain and diarrhea of the mouth:

You better believe he will do it again:

The last time Chief Justice John Roberts took it upon himself to write the opinion fending off a challenge to the Affordable Care Act, he seemed to signal that he was done entertaining existential threats to the law.

“In a democracy, the power to make the law rests with those chosen by the people,” he wrote in King v. Burwell in 2015. “Our role is more confined — to say what the law is. That is easier in some cases than in others. But in every case we must respect the role of the Legislature, and take care not to undo what it has done.”

His message was quite clear: Stop trying to get us to blow up Obamacare. If you don’t like it, go see Congress.

Will the Supreme Court Save Obamacare Again?
The chief justice would rather leave it to Congress.

NOTE: John Roberts invoked democracy in a Republic, but he failed to mention that the American people did go to their elected legislators and he ruled against both.

Brett is another pro-corporate far righty on the court. The Roberts Court is the most pro-corporate in history and Kavanaugh will not change that.

Roberts did not join anybody. He has always been a lying-liberal sneak:

Had Democrats succeeded in torpedoing Bret Kavanaugh’s confirmation they would have done Americans a big favor:

Monday during his nationally syndicated radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh speculated as to why Supreme Court Associate Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who was appointed by President Donald Trump based on his conservative bona fides, was siding with the liberal wing of the high court in a few recent decisions.

At stake in the proceedings are untold millions in federal aid conditioned on population, as well as representation in the House of Representatives for states like California, Florida, and Texas, which have large numbers of illegal aliens.

Sadly though it's not just the supreme court. Republicans have decided that they would rather be popular than do the right thing.
